About OnlinePrimary.us

It's just after midnight (East coast time) on January 1, 2008 and the basic voting function of OnlinePrimary.us has just gone live. There's a lot more I plan to say on this page, but this short explanation will have to do for now.

My name is Jim Edlin. I am not an expert in elections or politics or any related field. I'm just a citizen, and voter, who is really discouraged by how our current primary system is working (or not working) and who wanted to start a dialog about some possibilities that might be better. So I built this website as a way of getting the dialog going.

Please cast a vote. (Just ONE ballot per person, please.) But after you do, please come back again in a week or so (and after that, too) to see how things are going. I put just the minimum voting function up for now, so OnlinePrimary could officialy launch with the stroke of 2008, but there's more interesting stuff in the pipeline and I hope you'll come back to check it out.

Meantime, HAPPY NEW YEAR. I hope my efforts help us in the US to have a way more satisfying presidential primary in 2012 - and better ways to do alll our other elections.
